Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Personal information you provide directly:

• Name & e-mail address
• Password (hashed)
• Gender / age / occupation (optional)
• Profile answers (e.g. “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?”)
• Device push-token (if you enable notifications)

Usage data: goals, steps, notes, journal entries, completion timestamps and similar analytics.

Location data (optional & one-time): When you agree, the app stores coarse latitude/longitude + accuracy from your browser’s Geolocation API. We immediately convert it into a human-readable place name via Google Maps Geocoding, then delete the raw coordinates. No continuous tracking.

Payment data: handled exclusively by Stripe; we never see your full card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Operate and secure the app
• Personalise your experience – e.g. break down goals, recommend nearby resources (if location granted)
• Send reminders and progress updates
• Respond to support enquiries
• Improve features via aggregated analytics

3. Disclosure of Your Information

No selling or renting of data – ever. We share minimal data only:

• OpenAI API – step text + context to generate guidance
• Google Maps Geocoding – coordinates → place name (only if you opted-in)
• Stripe – payment processing
• Legal requests, merger etc. where legally required

4. Your Rights & Choices

• Access / update profile data at any time inside the app
• Disable notifications in settings or device OS
• Revoke location – toggle “Use my location” off in Profile → Privacy and we delete the stored place name
• Request export / deletion via team@goaliath.online

5. Data Security

• All traffic over TLS
• Passwords hashed with bcrypt
• Row-level DB access controls
